Fishing Comps!
Fishing is what its all about for us, its what we would rather be doing in our spare time and it is something we are absolutley passionate about!
Lone Star Marine is happy to announce we will be sponsoring 2 Fishing Comps in Feb and March. First up is the Victoria Game Fishing Club Classic on the 16th & 17th of February out of Rhyll. This is primarily a Mako event however there will be plenty of people out for the elusive Vic Kingfish around the Island. The Mr. Fisho Eden Kingfish Classic is back in March this year on the 23rd & 24th of March in Eden, NSW. This is a free event, anyone with a passion for fishing and reliable trailer boat are welcome to come and have a great time. Our Lone Star Marine Challenge will be on again this year with the Sportfishin Simulator Tournament. Trailer Boat Magazine, G2-1400D, G2-2000D, all new Thats Fishing Boat!

Our G2-1400D and all new G2-2000D's are now available for larger trailer boats and commercial applications. Our G2-1400D has been redesigned to include a faster drop and retrival speed while still producing a massive amount of tourque. We have also added a SS push bar across the frame assembly for added strength and asthetics. We now have these winches on several local and out of state commercial boats up to 15m in length.
Thats FIshing is Back! This season with thier all new Stabicraft courtesy of Stabicraft and MY Marine. The 'Thats Fishing' boat features a smooth and quiet 225 Honda on the back and an all new LSM Winch System on the front including the G2-1000D, SLR415 Bow Sprit, and all new MM10SS anchor. Melbourne 4x4 Fishing Boating and Tackle Show
We had a great time at the Melbourne 4x4 Fishing Boating and Tackle show this year, we fielded hundreds of inquiries over the three days and took the opportunity to show off our new range of Mud Magnet® Anchors and the G2 series of Drum Winches on offer. The highlight for us however were the dozens of current Lone Star customers who took time out from thier day to say thank you and tell us about thier boats and how our Lone Star Marine Drum Winches have changed thier fishing and boating experience. Gen 2 Series, New Hawse Pipes, New 400W Model, Mud Magnet Anchors
We are happy to announce the release of our Gen 2 Series of drum winches. Currently available in models from 400-1000W, with two much larger models to be released in August for commercial operations.The Gen 2 series feature custom engineered drive components to deliver a faster speed with an amazing amount of grunt. These winches are not only fast, they still boast one of the highest torque ratings of any winch on the market. And, of course, they are still the best value found anywhere. No bushes, split pins, actuators, springs, clutches, or additional circuitry to fail. Nothing extra to buy. Just fast, reliable anchoring.
The Gen2 series will be replacing all LSM models.
We have also designed and are now offering 316 SS Hawse Pipes in two different styles. Our round pipe is similar to other pipes on the market, with a few advantages including a smaller 'footprint' and 8 premade holes for mounting. Our custom wide hawse has been designed for applications where the winch is very close to the top deck. The additional width allows rope and chain to distribute evenly over the drum without the bunching that can occur using a normal hawse pipe. If you don't want a normal hole cut into your top deck have a look at our hawse pipes. They'll keep the rain out, plus they look great!
Finally we are proud to offer the newest, and smallest, addition to the Lone Star range, the G2-400D. The G2-400D will fit even the smallest of anchor wells, but this little powerhouse isn't just for tinnies! Boasting a super impressive 190kg of pulling power with a drop rate of 80ft. per minute, similar to other brands with a 50% larger drum. Each G2-400D comes with a 6mm double braided rope & chain kit at no extra charge. RRP $990
We have been working on a new anchor for 11 months. After several incarnates is finally finished. The Mud Magnet by Lone Star Marine has been desinged to suit and stay in the muddy/grassy sediment of our southern waters. The Mud Magnet has a fine entry, massive surface area, and large rear flanges to keep the sediment over the anchor and provide additional resistance. The aggressive digging angle ensures maximum penetration, the harder the tide rages the deeper it digs. They also feature a self-righting roll bar. Available in 3 sizes to suit boats to 5T, you can pick up a Mud Magnet from $69 in gal and $279 in 316 SS.

Mr. Fisho Kingfish Comp
The Mr. Fisho Game Event in Eden had a great turnout this year with a few lucky participants getting the opportunity to tango with kingfish to 12.1kg. For the anglers lucky enough to stay after the event weekend more Kingfish, Yellowfin, and Bronzie's were on the cards. Everyone had the chance to tango with Marlin on the Simulator Challenge on Saturday night with the finalists going toe to toe with bruiser yellowfin.
Lone Star Challenge winner Abbas had what it takes to tame the mechanical beast and walked away with a LSM600D package worth $1250! Well Done Abbas! (nice photo Mick!)

New Bow Sprits
We have expanded our range of Bow Sprits to include 2 new 'medium' models with an overall length of 600mm and 2 new 'large' models with overall length of 730mm. The new models offer more options to those with cruisers or smaller boats with a sloped foredeck where the only mounting options are well back from the bow. In many instances additional fiberglassing can be avoided by using a longer bow sprit.
